Test of Kluber Bio Oil LR 9-32

Based on a request from one of our larger international clients, a test was conducted to see the effect of Waagene Purifiner on biodegradable oil (EAL) related to water content.

We were sent new oil from Kluber Oil Germany. The oil was their bio oil type LR 9-32, which is a hydraulic oil with a viscosity of 32 cSt (Centistokes). To make the cleaning as challeinging as possibile, it was decided to mix seawater into the oil with an electric mixer.

Oil samples were taken from each step of the process, and the samples were tested by independent oil lab, Norsk Oljelaboratorium AS.

  • Oil sample of new oil from original Kluber Oil packing
  • Oil sample after mixing 2.5% / 25,000 ppm water into the oil
  • Oil sample after cleaning with Waagene Purifiner for 2 hours
  • Oil sample after cleaning with Waagene Purifiner for 4 hours
  • Oil sample after cleaning with Waagene Purifiner for 8 hours
